Sacraments
The celebration of the sacraments is at the heart of the Catholic parish. We welcome new members with Baptism and, later, Confirmation; nourish them with the Eucharist; cleanse and heal with Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick; and guide them in their vocations with Matrimony and Holy Orders.
The Eucharist is offered every day at Christ the King Church; Reconciliation is on Saturdays at 4pm, but can be scheduled anytime by appointment. Please read further for information on specific sacraments.
The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated at Christ the King Church by appointment. Please contact the office to make arrangements. Parents are required to participate in a Baptism Preparation Class and to register in the parish prior to the celebration. To register, call the parish office at 434-1669. For children in Faith Formation classes who are not baptized, call Louise Young, Director of Religious Education, at 434-9873.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is celebrated on Saturdays from 4:00 to 4:30 pm, or anytime by appointment. First Reconciliation is part of the 2nd grade preparation for First Communion. Visit the Faith Formation page to learn more about enrolling in Faith Formation classes.

The Sacrament of the Eucharist (Mass) is celebrated every day at Christ the King Church. Students typically make their First Communion in the spring of 2nd grade, after having attended preparation classes (Faith Formation). Visit the Faith Formation page for information on enrolling. Adults who wish to make First Communion should contact the parish office, 434-1669.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is conferred on students who have completed the preparation class. For most students this class begins in 9th grade, with Confirmation in 10th grade. Visit the Faith Formation page for information on enrolling. Adults seeking to be confirmed should contact the office.
The Sacrament of Matrimony: preparation for marriage must begin at least one year before the ceremony. Please call the parish office for details.
The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is celebrated anytime. Please call the pastor at 434-1660 or the office at 434-1669.
