Liturgical Ministries
There are numerous ways to share your time and talents through the parish ministries of Christ the King Church. Opportunities can be found in liturgical ministries, education, community outreach, and parish life. This page outlines ways that you can assist in liturgical celebrations. Altar servers: Assist at the altar in the celebration of Mass. Open to all students who have made their First Communion and adults. Training provided.
Collectors: Assist with Sunday Offertory collections during Mass.
Eucharistic Ministers: Administer the Body and Blood of Christ as part of the Eucharistic celebration. Open to confirmed teens and adults. Training provided.
Funeral Liturgy Assistance: Sacristans, adult altar servers, and lectors are needed. Training provided.
Lectors: Proclaim the Word of God during Masses and other liturgies. Open to adults and students sixth grade and older. Training provided.
Music Ministries: Lead the congregation in song by sharing your musical talents during the Mass. Visit the Music Ministries page for more information.
Sacristans: Prepare the altar and sanctuary for the celebration of the Mass, and clean up afterwards. Time commitment about 5–10 minutes before and after Mass.
Ushers/Greeters: Welcome visitors to Christ the King Church at the beginning of Mass; assist in seating when necessary; provide direction as needed to coat closets, rest rooms, and parish hall.
