Welcome, Confirmation 2014 Class!

The 2014 Confirmation Class began its preparation on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at the 10:30 Mass, when students introduced themselves to the congregation and signed a book affirming their desire to be confirmed in the faith. Each of the students receivde a bible, which they will use in their studies over the next year. The first meeting of the class was held that evening.
    Classes are regularly held on Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Attendance is mandatory, but missed classes may be made up by writing an essay on given topics (see below). Students will be expected to complete a set of requirements that include class attendance, community service, parish service, and socials. Please read the course requirements for further information.

Current service opportunities:

  • Parish Service:  Serve as a lector or collector at the Youth Mass (3rd Sunday of every month).  
  • Community Service: Volunteer at the New London Meal Center or the Shoreline Soup Kitchen (at First Congregational Church of Old Lyme).
